Beautifully styled with French antique furniture and elegant interiors, the room has a relaxed, homely feel that’s perfect after a day exploring Buxton and the surrounding Peak District. Every detail has been chosen to create a warm, inviting space where you can truly switch off.

At the centre of the room is one of our bespoke, custom-made luxury mattresses, promising a wonderfully comfortable night’s sleep, while the complimentary coffee station makes slow mornings even more enjoyable before heading out for another adventure.

The Story Behind the Name

Just a short distance from Upstairs, Grin Low is one of Buxton’s hidden gems. Home to the iconic Solomon’s Temple, this limestone hill is surrounded by woodland trails and peaceful walks, offering spectacular views across the town and the Peak District beyond. It’s a favourite with walkers, photographers and, of course, plenty of dogs enjoying the fresh countryside air.

Our Grin Low room takes inspiration from that welcoming spirit. Warm, relaxed and full of character, it’s a place where guests can unwind after a day of exploring, whether you’ve spent it wandering the local trails, discovering Buxton’s history or simply enjoying time away together. Just like Grin Low itself, it’s a room that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply and feel completely at home.
