Backed by the High Peak Culture Strategy, it features community art, heritage events, and science pop-ups inspired by the town’s world-famous natural springs.
🌸 Buxton Well Dressing Festival & Carnival Day 2027
The historic Derbyshire tradition of well dressing returns with a full week of festivities from 2 July to 11 July 2027.

Carnival Day Highlights (10 July 2027):
The day kicks off at 10:00 AM with stalls and entertainment across The Crescent and the Pavilion Gardens. The famous Carnival 4 Road Race starts at 1:45 PM, followed by the spectacular Carnival Parade at 2:00 PM. Live concerts, the Parade of Queens, and the annual Duck Race run throughout the afternoon.
🎭 Buxton International Festival (BIF) 2027
One of the UK’s premier opera and arts celebrations has officially confirmed its dates for 2027. The Buxton International Festival will run from 8 July to 25 July 2027.
The 2027 operatic lineup includes:
